Two map packs for Modern Warfare 2
There will be only two map packs for MW2. This has been confirmed by Activision recently when the news came in that this game has broken all the previous pre-order records of Activision.
Michael J. Griffith, the president and CEO of publishing unit said, “We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title. Map packs help extend the shelf life of the franchise.”
Griffith also said that the popularity of the previous map packs that was released for the original Modern Warfare and World at War were very significant. He added that the company had strong success with map packs and were able to sell over 8 million units for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Though it was earlier already known to media that there will be two map packs coming to Modern Warfare 2, but no one was sure that these were to be the only map packs.
Wow useless information…we already know about the map packs.You shoud get off your ass and research for new information like what are all the options for your killstreak loadout.Still no info about silenced sniper rifles for multiplayer.How many levels till you have to prestige.

Yeah, this is old news, but its good to hear since there has been heaps of rumors going on at the MW2 forums.
People have been suggesting that activision would get greedy and release numerous maps, like in WaW. Wheres some people suggest that they would just cut parts out of the final copy of the game and limit it to a map pack (selling already finished data that you buy with the game).
I think one map pack will be SOME COD4 maps and the other will be 3-4 new maps.

all I know is this the game mw2 is cool but half the psn are shit talking little pussies, that only feel tough when they sit behind thier little microphones and say shit they will never and could never do, hence the whole purpose of playing a shooting video game=will never shoot anything, and that and that alone makes me HATE the game, multiplayer, that and the fact that other pussies camp and nube, but the fucked up thing about it, is everyone camps and everyone noobs, theres just a way of doing it, Not the whole game and NOT to get your streaks going, anyone can sit in a corner with a few claymores and danger close and scavenger and people are stupid enough to go running back there thats the funny thing, word of advice people if a camper kills you, go to the other side of the map and either snipe his ass out or let him sit in his corner alone and think about what he’s done, lol cause he;ll get pissed or bored when nobody wants to let him shoot them,
