The first gameplay footage of the Modern Warfare 2 has been aired by TNT. This video will surely leave gamers wanting more and more but it includes quite enough of tidbits to keep gamers mind busy for days. The following few things can be seen in the video footage of the game:
About the vehicles – The extent of the involvement of vehicles remains to be seen but it does show a first-person view on a snowmobile.
The Gunship Returns – AC-130 gunship looks to be making another cameo.
Hand-to-Hand Combat – If we follow the footage closely, we will come across one scene on a snowy airfield showing a character being hip-tossed and thrown to the ground.
Swimming – The footage video of the game gives the hint of the ability to swim, at least in one mission that makes us think getting from Point-A to Point-B might not be as linear as CoD: MW.
Check the video below and do comment if you see something else that has been overlooked here. The second gameplay trailer of MW2 will be aired on May 24th during the Eastern Conference Finals.
Modern Warfare 2
Yesterday we put up an article about what the gamers want in Modern Warfare 2. We have received a good number of comments and it is still flowing in. Few of the comments are really very rational and hope that it gives the Infinity Ward people a serious look before the launch of the game.
One of the serious gamer wrote, “I would really love to see attachments for my primary weapon, along with silenced sniper rifles! Juggernaut sucks when you play against it, but its still part of the game and gives and extra challenge.”
Just check what one more reader writes about the juggernaut. He writes, “I don’t even use juggernaut; I use stopping power. Although if they do get rid of juggernaut, then I think they need to get rid of stopping power also. These two perks were designed to be in the game together. People that bitch about juggernaut are just babies who need to get better at the game. I hope they don’t get rid of juggernaut and keep stopping power just because a bunch of bitches are complaining about their lack of skill.”
We welcome more such serious comments from gamers who are waiting desperately for the game to be launched on the scheduled day of 10th November.
Modern Warfare 2
GamePlan, a research group, gives a data that Halo 3: ODST is the most wanted Xbox 360 title. Modern Warfare 2 in the second place according to their research.
Both, the ODST and the Modern Warfare 2 are sequels in famed franchises, but unlike others on the list represent nearly a quarter of all Xbox 360 gamers. Isn’t it impressive.
Apart from ODST and MW2, the next in the race is Madden NFL ’10. It is on the third position having only 15% expressing intent on purchasing if compared with close to 25% of Microsoft gamers planning an ODST or MW2 purchase.
The best part of MW2 is that the intent to purchase and pre-order tallies are nearly even in comparison to a much wider discrepancy among future ODST gamers. Is it understandable?
The answer of this may be that either the Halo fans are lazy bums who know ODST would not be in short supply come fall, or else they are waiting for further more juicy details from the secretive Bungie Studios about the title before deciding if the investment is absolutely worth it.
GamePlan collected the data from 1,000 gamers every week across numerous demographics from March to April this year.
