Robert Bowling speaks of at least two map packs
Robert Bowling, the community manager at Infinity Ward, says that he and his team have plans to support Modern Warfare 2 heavily with post-launch support. He stated recently that there will be at least two map packs. In fact this was also announced at the E3. The two map packs will be for the Xbox 360.
Bowling also said that they have confirmed of at least two map packs and this does not mean that there won’t be more than two map packs. He mentioned further that Infinity Ward will be shaping the DLC based on the feedback of the community from the full game and also from the feedback of the first two DLC map packs. So, in fact the community will be determining what will come after the two map packs.
Activision is working hard to hype the title and it is also working hard to create a community around the game in order to sustain the game on the long term. Now it really seems that Activision will prove it to be one of the biggest video game launches of this fall.
Well, do keep reading and do keep commenting. Let us hope that Modern Warfare 2 sustain in a very long term.

Well I dont really understand what they mean by map “packs” are these just one map each or does each pack have more than one map? And I hope they have some kind of snow level for mulitplayer just like they do in the singleplayer with the blizzard that would be awesome

Not only is this the same info but its wrong. this leads you to believe that these two “maap packs” are ONLY for xbox 360 but it will be released on ps3 also. The xbox gets it first though.

What it says 2 map packs for 360 it says nothing about
PS3 and i have 1 thats not fair. PS3 is just as good.
