Hope on Modern Warfare 2 to be the best selling this year
The latest installment of the Call of Duty series of shooters will be hitting the market by the end of this year. It has started gaining critical and commercial acclaim, and in fact it seems for the executives that they are more excited about the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to 2007’s CoD: Modern Warfare, which shattered all records in sales and in awards received.
The brand manager at Activision, Simon Well, had revealed that the hopes are very high with the next title among them and also among all the fans, which meets all of the premises to be the best selling video game in the gaming history.
He said that each year the Call of Duty franchise goes from strength-to-strength and they, at Activision, wants to propel 2009’s title to be the biggest selling video game in the history of video games.
He added that all firmly believe that they have the potential to be the No.1 entertainment property of 2009 and also plans are being made to deliver one of the most engaging campaigns of 2009.
The developer also feels that they are in for a big marketing campaign before the title is released, in November this year. They are also keeping hope that this title will live up to all this hype and they will also enjoy a great experience.
