Enemies will no more constantly respawn in MW2
In Modern Warfare 2 fighting with terrorists is much easier than the original Modern Warfare. In it, enemies will no more constantly respawn as they had been doing in previous version of Call of Duty games.
We have seen in Call of Duty games that a constant stream of enemies would spawn and attack gamer character until he/she advanced or completed an objective. To this feature of the game, gamers always had mixed reactions.
Contrary to this, it also keeps the fight frantic and forces gamers to constantly be on the offensive. Moreover, to have enemy after enemy spilling out of a little hut is very artificial.
Recently the CCO of Infinity Ward, Jason West said, “We are aware of it and we’re actively trying to eliminate it.” He added further while briefing to Game Informer, “I think we agree that it’s not very good.”
It is many a time said earlier that MW2 will not be like its predecessor Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Even it will not bear the Call of Duty name. Now, if the spawn system is eliminated then it seems like it will distance Modern Warfare 2 from other COD series.
I AM SURE I HEARD IT WILL HAVE CALL OF DUTY IN THE TITLE!!!
I HATED THE RESPAWNING OF ENEMIES IN ALL OF THE COD SERIES, SO WELL GLAD THEY ARE MOVING AWAY FROM IT, FINALLY GONNA BE MORE LIKE REAL COMBAT, KILL THE ENEMIES AND JOB DONE!!!!
I think they should make this feature optional. It does get quite annoying at times when you have constant enemies leaking from a single room, but it does also add to a very intense fight. Maybe it should be made optional for more exprienced gamers that love the thrill of battalions hording on them at once.
I didn’t really mind the respawning enemies, in fact, I hardly even noticed it. I just hope this isn’t going to be like Crysis or Farcry 2. I don’t want to have to go all over the place and have to play MP in VERY large maps… -_-
The only time I found it annoying was in the TV station level, hated it!!!!!

Easy BigKaye, I do agree this is a big improvemnt into the game. Keep up the good work. I remember in World At War, when i was trying to beat the game on veteran ( which i finally did ) i noticed that when i rush into a part of the building they would spawn right infront of me and gun me down with MP40s hopefully this wont be a problem in MW2.

the constant respawning is no big deal, it is just when u are playing on veteran difficulty that it gets really annoying, and it gets even worse when u add in the constant heaving of and perfect aim of enemy grenades, but still fun to play.
good i hate when they constantly respawn cuz ill get done with a wave of enemies think i beat an area then get shot from out of nowhere on veteran that pissed me off it is a big deal for single player

omfg thank u god thank u all i love u all omfg they wont respawn today i have played a mission in mw on veteran and seam two guys killed me 10 times becouse i passed by and they comed throu wall behind me wtf i hate that knd of stuff and today i didnt have a good day and now i have verry god day when u told me that news i am so fucking happy
will they have real life guns like m249 saw,m4a1,mp5 and that lot off cod4.
or will they be made up guns
I’m currently ‘trying’ to finish MW on vet as black Ops & Reach are due out in the next few weeks. Every level is the same. you need to find the ‘right’ way to run to certain areas of the map to stop them repawning. its very, very frustating!!! But my personnal moan is the constaint grenades all expertly thrown at ME.
I’m just taking a quick break before i spam some more grenades into a room… only to enter it & find 4-5 fully fit enemy soilders all firing expertly at me.
Shame because it would be a top, top game otherwise.
ps. I’ve already finished MW2 on Vet & that was not that difficult but fun!
pps. I hope they have multi-player on the missions on black ops! thats the only real downfall.
