Dual-wield weapons in Modern Warfare 2

August 27th, 2009

Modern Warfare 2 will be having dual-wield weapons. This has been now officially confirmed by Infinity Ward.

call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-co-op

Robert Bowling, the community manager of Infinity Ward, twittered that akimbo pistols would feature in the game. He said this recently after giving a presentation of Modern Warfare 2.

Let me quote Bowling what he said: “Just walked off stage. Crowd was amazing, went insane chanting ‘pick it up!’ when I stumbled over dual-wield Deagles. lol – Akimbo confirmed.”

On the official forum of Infinity Ward the above statement was elaborated. Here Bowling tried to allay fears that akimbo pistols would be to ooverpowered.

He said, “Now to calm some initial fears of ‘OMG! Overpowered!’. Akimbo is limited and balanced, just like everything in the game. It’s limited to side-arms, harder to aim than standard and you can’t go ADS (aim down sights) since you have a weapon in each hand.”

He also added there, “So don’t freak out before you see it in action.”

On the forum it was not made clear when the fans of Modern Warfare 2 will get a chance to see it in action.

Maybe you people are either very stupid or cannot think straight at the moment.
You do realise that having dual wield weapons is the most cheap and worst call of duty idea..
and why the hell would it matter if you can aim with them or not no one aims anymore (thanks CoD:WaW) so it will make absolutely no DIFFERENCE

oh shut up whiney bollocks! in the rank of cheap and worst ideas I would say this is till better than martyrdom or juggernaut etc (which incidentally don’t bother me too much, don’t use them but that’s a personal choice), I can’t wait to blam away with double pistols, may not be a long term usage but a nice idea for a a bit of fun :-)

Think about it, anyone else here play Counter-Strike? The dual elites (2 berretas) are considered inferior to one deagle. WHY? because each shot with the left pistol will be slightly to the left and each on with the right will be slightly to the right (of the crosshair). So it will take some skill to use the pistols (accuratly) at anything more than the range of a shotgun. So chill out, its not going to be a n00b perk. Picture this: a guy has dual deagles 50 meters from you, and you have an ACR, he hammars the trigger for 2 seconds hitting you maybe once, you on the other hand fire a three round burst into his head and kill him instantly.

Before I check 247.com just let me say, I’m either going to kill a random person or piss myself. Either way, I hope you can live with the guilt.

your fucking stupid. if you read what the caption said, you would have realized that its ALL BALANCED like evry other weapon in the game. some weapoins have more damage but less accuracy some have better accuracy but less damage, g36 vs ak47 or desert eagle vs m1911.45, mp5 vs scorpion. get the idea your a fucking idiot so you dont

Things have changed. The economy is booming, Younger job seekers are much more ambitious and almost instinctively understand that if they want to get ahead,. . . if they’re heading for the top, they have to job hop. It’s really all part of the 21st Century job market and the dramatic changes that have occurred especially since 9/11 and Katrina. The old-fashioned job search approaches simply don’t work anymore. If you’ve been busy writing a traditional resume and then mass distributing it to job sites, job listings, a bunch of companies, some agencies and recruiters . . . well, you already know what I mean. You’re probably sitting around nervously waiting for the phone to ring. Or hoping today’s mail will bring that priceless invitation to an interview instead of the more usual TNT (thanks-but-no-thanks) letter.Non-traditional career advice is the solution to your job search dilemma. It makes you get in tune with today’s sophisticated job marketplace. You need to understand the employers aren’t interested in what you used to do for someone else (as outlined in your resume). They expect you to come forward with some understanding of the corporate goals are.And they are impressed when you’ve done your research and come up with an ability to address your next boss’ personal requirements. This evidence of your commitment to excellence goes much further than a resume. It’s just another piece of non-traditional career advice. So does a commitment to job-hopping. Curtis Crawford, author of “Corporate Rise: The X Principles of Extreme Personal Leadership,” advises that the more versatile you are, the more likely you are to move up.What’s more, he recommends:1. Don’t be afraid to be visibly ambitious. In the past, ambition was confused with arrogance and ruthlessness–getting to the top at any cost. Ambition is achieving your goal the right way–honestly, ethically, all the while gaining the respect of your subordinates, peers and management.2. Avoid getting stuck in one job. Avoid becoming a specialist which means you’re pigeonholed as being able to do only one thing well. That specialist thinking flew years ago–but not anymore.3. Make significant contributions. Just moving through different jobs is not enough. Take jobs that provide platforms for you to make significant contributions. It means getting involved in critical areas such as product development, financial management, technological improvements, or improving production or distribution. This departure from old-fashioned thinking is just one of the many exciting pieces of non-traditional career advice. It’s part of the amazing new alternative thinking that is consistent with expectations in today’s job marketplace!

No matter in formal or informal occasions, high-heel red shoes make women more attracting than other women. Moreover, the red-bottom shoes are appropriate to fit with all styles of dress and hair. Therefore, the brand designer thinks his red shoes as a combination of beauty and sexuality, and the shoes are high enough to make them slim and walk sexily.
