COD sequel is all time highest selling

April 12th, 2009

It is always a high aim for Activision. Now it is with the new sequel of Infinity Ward’s. Activision is aiming to make Call Of Duty 4 sequel Modern Warfare 2, in the history of gaming industry world over, as the biggest-selling game.

2

This first-person shooter Modern Warfare 2 is going to be launched in the month of November this year and the publisher is expecting it to even compete with television, music and DVD sales on the global platform.

The brand manager of Activision, Simon Wells, in one of the press conference recently said gesturing Modern Warfare 2 that each year the Call Of Duty franchise goes from strength to strength.

Simon also said to the media, “We want to propel this year’s title to be the biggest-selling video game of all time. That may raise some eyebrows, but step back and look at the franchise’s trajectory through preceding launches, and this objective starts to look viable.
The fact between all the statements from the developers end is that Activision is feeling rather cocky about a game that isn’t even released yet.

But, there is a reason behind this believe i.e. Call of Duty 4 has sold more than 10 million copies till date.

cod is freakin sweet it seems each time there are more things for players to choose. more things to set each other player from one another and still kick some butt. just like in world of warcraft there are soo amny options for players to choose costmize and a butt crap load. i think thats what is all about. combining skill level with imagination combining wepons and perks it really is addicting.maybe thats why wow is really addicting dont you think so?

Um just lettin some of you know. InfintyWard drop Call of Duty. The modern Warfare 2 is not going to be called Call of Duty Modern WarFare 2. Just Modern Warfare 2. With this information im guessing that this will spike a whole new major sireis, similar to Call of Duty. So just leting you guys know. More then likely the company that made COD5 will be making the 6 since InfinityWard drop Call of Duty. So NO CALL OF DUTY 6, this year. But Modern Warfare 2 will be sick. Seen the trailer its sick.

Just because it doesn’t have the word Call of Duty in it doesn’t mean that it’s not going to be part of the series. Saying modern warfare 2 is much easier than call of duty modern warfare 2. Besides, the epilogue for COD4 wasn’t for nothing.
