Am I the only one who thinks Treyarch sucks?
Sometimes I wonder if I’m in the minority when it comes to hating Treyarch. I haven’t been to a COD forum for sometime now, last time I was on one everyone had just found out Treyarch was making COD5 and they were expressing their disgust not only for Treyarch but for WW2 as well. It was pretty clear the community wanted another modern warfare, I wonder whos idea it was to basically say FU to the community and make another WW2 theme against the majority of our wishes?
You may be asking “what’s your beef with cod5?” Allow me to name a few of the things off…
- After updating the servers list, you have to actually close down the game and reload it otherwise you can’t enter a server because of the famous “server authentication error”. I can see having some bugs when the game first comes out, but the game has been out now for months and the browser is STILL broken. What kind of preschool company would allow such a huge bug to remain without patching it?
- The sound. I think no explanation is needed.
- Search & Destroy can’t determine the actual winner. Say you’re playing S&D to 7 and one team has 7 and the other has 0, if the losing team wins the final match they win the whole thing. Perhaps this is something that should have been fixed in the first patch? I mean no rush, just one of your game modes is completely broken, take your time Treyarch.
- Auto-climb was annoying in COD4 but it was just something everyone had to accept. In COD5 you CONSTANTLY find yourself getting hung up on stupid crap. For example sometimes you will be running through a field and all the sudden your forward movement stops and you’re trying to figure out what’s happening only to look down and see you’re “caught” on a little rock or stick. In COD4 this isn’t a problem because the game would simply let you walk over or around this small object.
I could go on but what’s the point? Treyarch doesn’t care because they’re too busy counting the money they made off of us. What about Activision? You think they will reward Treyarch with another COD title after this one? I would hope not. They should have never taken the rights away from IW to begin with. Why would you look at the huge sucess of COD4 and then turn around and give the next title dev rights to Treyarch after IW did such a good job?
I should say that it’s not ALL bad from Treyarch. They added the friends option which is cool. The prestige option like COD4 consoles had was cool until the power rank servers came out which totally ruined the whole idea. Other than those two thinks I can’t honestly say I like anything else about it. I’ve already become sick of COD5 and gone back to COD4. Bad part is I installed Windows 7 yesterday and found out that COD4 and Windows 7 don’t get along so I’m forced to play COD5. It’s actually Punkbuster that doesn’t work with Windows 7 but don’t even get me started on how worthless Punkbuster is, they’re worse than Treyarch.

He is right they do suck. I don’t like the idea of waiting a month and change to play map packs that everyone else is playing on consoles. I have patience but three times having to do that lost my patience.If call of duty5 is going to be the same then i will have to say screw them all together.

Uhm, Activision had Treyarch make a Call of Duty game so they could make more money off of their IP. They weren’t planning on it being better than COD4 at all. They were giving Infinity Ward time to make a new Modern Warfare title, and figured they could make more bank having Treyarch pretty much modify the COD4 engine.

Played the single player through and have now gone back to CoD4 for decent multi-player experience.
^^ Whether or not the server issue was decided by Activision or IW or not I don’t know, either way it was a frickin’ lame decision.

You guys have no idea about games, both modern warfare and cod waw suck balls hard. Both are for 10 yo boys. Only game in the series that is worth your time and money was the original cod. That was an amazing game. That guy talking about cod2.. lol. Cod 2 only had dx9, no more, shitty gameplay, shitty health system. A piece of shit made a game, with some good moments yes but it doesnt make it a nice game. After watching and playing cod2 i didnt even care about cod3. Maybe if i knew it was from another developer i would try. Modern warfare… its just an ok game. ITs not nice at all. The weapons feel like toys. And you say about the mp40 or something? In MW you can do that with any weapon that is automatic.. so you can do it with almost every weapon ingame. And the recoil? the recoil in call of duty its a joke. When you play cod series in pc, except the first game, the weapon’s recoil its a joke. come on, recoil to the sides and then the weapon gets magically in the same place you were aiming?. THat is clear its made for a console.. COD series are just an arcade game and you guys put it as it was the best ever fps loool. Suckers go and play red orchestra and learn what a real game is. Both developers are mediocre at this moment. IF they were so great as you put them. they would just made a new awesome game, not copying the same crap over and over for morons like you can see here….now forget me and go to play your favourite cod….
cid 5 is better than mw2. md2 is poorly made and not only is it a campers paradise it takes forever to level up
Yes, WAW was garbage. Frag spamming utterly impossible on veteran. Thousands of hours required to do one section of the game (with no checkpoints of course, typical lazy Treyarch).
Worst of all the COD games in single player.
1st of all CoD 5′s multiplayer sucks. The only thing I should give credit for is the “Nazi Zombies” which isn’t even that great cause it gets boring. Now I prefer MW2 cause you get to customize your weapons, choose your streaks, etc… Which is pretty cool. For the MW2 multiplayer. It’s just like any other multiplayer. Team deathmatch: Go out run,kill,run,kill thats it. Don’t expecting fucking flying saucers or shit like that. Its a KILLING GAME. Nothing more to it. If you are expecting people doing retarded stuff or little kids yelling out cussing words trying to be cool. Go play halo 3. Now the shit that it takes for ever to rank up…” Please? Really? Just like in an hour you can rank up to level 20. It’s easy. You get 200xp just for assisting suicide. If you like FPS and just “killing” buy MW2. If you want some shit that the only fun thing is killing zombies buy Resident Evil 1 or CoD 5.

Not everything in CoD 5 is bad. If you like WW2 then the campaing is pretty good. Nothing out of this world but, it’s alright. Now the MW1 and MW2 campaings are nice not amazing either but nice. Btw Treyarch isn’t very good at making games. It’s only sucsses are CoD 5 and Quntinum Solence. Cause no one gives a shit about spider-man or some other crap that they made and Infinity Ward, stick to FPS games. Thats the only thing that they can do.
Mw2 is shit. it has the shortest campaign ive ever played and the levels arent that good. not to mention that everytime you get shot, blood pours onto the screen and u cant see where the fuck the enemy is so u die. simple as that. im not saying that treyarch is awesome either, but WAW was better for me because it had a clear storyline and was set in WW2 (which i love. the mw2 storyline is out of control. because its fictuous it means they can do watever they want and they have. which means that the storyline is blurry and most of the characters u play die. so mw2 was a dissapointment and im just looking forward to treyarchs vietnam cod coming out this year and hoping that itll be good

I agree completely, not only on the multiplayer level, but it is a far worse game on the single player. Treyarch really displayed how worthless they truly are by creating infinite spawn, and grenade rain, and stamping “Veteran” on it. I am on the mission “Heart of The Reich” and have been stuck in one spot, for 3 days. This my friends, is because of Unlimited Germans, with more grenades than bullets. Fuck Treyarch, I will unfortunately buy Call of Duty: Black Ops, just in hopes that they have learned from their mistakes.
wow, did treyarch really fail call of duty black ops, or is it just me? I fully agree they suck, treyarch is the laughing stock of the gaming community. they basically put call of duty source in a paper bag with counterstrike source and shook it up, dumped it out, then pressed it onto disc.

The game freezes almost one out of 10-15 matches, that is SICK. It DISGUSTS me that these fuckballs are making all this money, and besides they dont give a FUCK about the community aswell.
Quickscoping was deleted because the majority of the players could not do this, and then they would fine some lame ass excuses that it is a long range weapon. Didn’t know that lol?
As I looked up the numbers, around 70% hated quickscopers, 30% liked it.
Why not for the 30% who represent about 100000 PLAYERS. Implement the option to SWITCH ON quickscoping.
Or make a game mode for quickscopers?

WTF is up with treyarch? It sucks balls, and has f**king sh!t-hole games. Black Ops is f**ked up. Infinity Wards ruled! COD3 is pretty bad, COD 5 sucks balls, and Black Ops is supposed to be so good, but it’s not. They also canceled so many maps, it’s so not even funny. COD is going to the hounds now. A regular combat knife does more than a bullet up your ass, and if you stealth-knife someone, you usually go through them, or “accidentally malfunction” turn, and f**king go the other way. Plus, the dummies in Combat Training are f**king insanely invincible. F**CK OFF TREYARCH.

Their ability to satisfy the gaming community is far off. They put together a horrible system in Black Ops that does not work correctly. WW2 sucked. Im not looking forward to MW3 at all. Most of my friends have quit playing the games all togethewr and we are looking for new ones. Trearch is certainly failing.

of course treyarch sucks, they try to be smart to prevent hacking, while all it does it create more problems for their servers.. and they don’t even realize it either. i used to work at treyarch, but i moved on, and so should you, buy only infinity ward games and from sledgehammer, who is the 2nd best cod maker anyway (even though they haven’t released their game) lol

The biggest thing wrong with Treyarch is the line of business they are in. The can’t make a good video game to save their lives. The one good thing the did was zombies cause that was new and fun. Their campaign mode blows. All it is is grenades following you everywhere, literally. You sit behind a piece of cover for 2 seconds and a grenade comes in. Ok fine lucky throw so you throw it back. Then 5 more come in at the EXACT same time so you are forced to leave cover and back out of their range. Then another grenade comes in and back you up more and another. This continues till your back is against a wall and you die. Also EVERYONE in your squad is apparently mentally retarded cause the stand and watch you die. They can’t kill anyone. Because of this the only person the enemy shoots at is you. Seriously every single person on the map seems to be looking specifically at you. And they have infinite troops. If you kill someone another guy comes to the exact same spot. So you have to kill a lot of people and move forward before another of the infinite troops takes their place and kills you in the open. None of this makes any sense or is realistic at all. Take some lessons from Activision on making good games losers. Actually, your games are garbage and you need to give up one making games FOREVER.
Treyarch’s game engine sucks. Whatever they altered to the IW engine really screwed everything up. I’m talking about time sync issues. Sometimes I run ridiculously fast, and at other times I lag for no reason.
Black ops sucks. My computer can’t decently run it even though it has the recommended/above recommended requirements. I can play MW1 and MW2 at high settings at 1600 x 900 resolution and have absolutely no lag. No lag whatsoever. Then I switch to Black Ops or WaW and I have to play at 800×600 resolution if I don’t want lag. It seems as if Treyarch focused more on the small details, such as clocks that actually tell the time (which nobody cares about) and gore/body parts falling off instead of making a smooth game that runs well — and seriously, why can’t I disable Depth of Field? I don’t want to blur my field of view while ADS.
Treyarch has some good ideas, but the way they actually write the game sucks.

When I try to leave a lobby because it’s filled with 11 crap talking children and enter a new lobby it isn’t new, it’s the exact same lobby.
So why am I able to leave the lobby, they also could’ve made a button that says: press B to stay in this lobby.
srsly this game is practical unplayable because of many points, not everything is treyarch’s fault.
some of the fag players, mindlessly spamming grenades and camping make it also suck, they really can’t do anything about them.
But why even play the multiplayer mode?
You get a few “backgrounds” a new emblem and AT THE VERY END…
colored clantags and golden camo.
I liked to play mw2 because of the titles, it always gave you a new challenge that’s worth it in someway and it could show how many headshots you’ve made and things like that.

Well, we had one or two maps at mw2 that sucked.
not mentioning cod4, all maps were great there.
but in mw2 we had a few.
now it’s like, a few maps are good, some are shitty, some are simply unplayable.
We had rust on mw2, showing up rare, finishing quick.

seriously the only map I really enjoy playing is summit.

I hate Treyarch. They pull from Infinity Ward success. I loved cod 4 so I bought 5 which I couldn’t stand, sold it to a friend for 2 bucks because thats all i thought it was worth lol. Bought and loved mw2 couldn’t stop playing it. I recently bought fag ops and I can’t stand it. They say they fixed the spawns but watch a match in theater and see how many times you get fucked by an enemy who spawns on the same side of the map. They say they listen to the community but play a match of dom and see how many times you get noobtubed. And then you have the knifing which I believe is worse. Graphics are the same as in WaW. Trading this pos to a friend for a coke lol.

they suck dick, infinity ward was better at making CoD. in MW2 you unlocked weapons as you ranked up, you could quickscope, the maps were better. treyarch had to mess it all up in black ops, they made you buy weapons with CoD points (earned by killing opponents, to me that is pure grinding), introduced shit maps, oh and the emblem editor is just a pile of turd (unlocking it at rank 10 is shit, you shouldn’t have to unlock it, but what is the point of it? again you have to grind for CoD points, just to buy layers). they took out quickscoping (it might of returned now, but it doesn’t feel satisfying). BUT GUESS WHAT? infinity ward is following what Treyarch did. Yep, CoD points, (limited) emblem editor, and everything else. So MW2 was the best and if I was you you stay well clear of CoD Black Ops AND MW3. CoD is now doomed, blame Treyarch!
