Between this site and cod6.org we get over 200k unique visitors per month, we are looking for a game hosting company that can give us a COD4 server and when it’s time, a couple COD6 servers. So at the moment Google has this site #1 for the search term “modern warfare 2″ and I don’t want IW to sue the crap out of me so I’m going to make sure everyone knows the official Modern Warfare 2 site is located here. I don’t know why they put me back to #1, the day after the trailer was released they stuck IW at #1 but it has since slipped back to #2.
Hey also, don’t you guys own modernwarfare2.com? That question is directed at the IW guys if they should happen to read this post. If you guys have the .com just move all your stuff over to it and it will out rank this site just because it’s the .com
Anyway, I’m sure Google will figure it out soon enough, in the mean time try not to sue me OK? I mean after all, I always give you guys love and make sure everyone knows you’re way better devs than Treyarch
Since the release of the new trailer last night, the servers have been getting slammed. I guess I’m not the only Modern Warfare fanatic after all, hm? Best part is the busiest time of the day traffic wise, around 8pm-9pm, is still to come. We will probably end up hitting 15k uniques today.
I was reading the comment thread over at reddit about the trailer and one of the people pointed out what appears to be some perk icons hidden in the trailer at 1:12. It certainly looks like some perk icons to me, what do you think? Also, has anyone else found anything worth mentioning? I have been at work and not had a chance to really watch the trailer frame by frame yet. If you find anything interesting, stick it in the comments of this post and I’ll check them when I get home.
It’s really not much of a trailer, basically it’s a glorified MP3 clip, but I guess at this point we will take whatever we can get. Don’t get yourself too excited but if you wanna take a look…or listen, do it here.
Also, as previously called out on both this site and cod6.org, the release date is indeed 11.10.09, I’ll be taking a week off or so from work that week BTW. I still wish they had given us a bit more, if you pause the video at the correct times you can sort of make out some pictures but it leaves the viewer a bit hungry for more which is probably their exact intentions ;o
I’m sure most of you that have been following the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 saw the recent hoopla about some of the details being leaked. It’s looking more and more like some kid just made it all up. We can’t say for sure that it’s 100% BS though because in Infinity Wards denial of the “leaked info” they didn’t say it was ALL fake, but they said “we can’t comment on what is and isn’t real information”, So apparently some of it is indeed real but the question is, how much of it? And if some of it is real, where did this kid get it? Did he just make stuff up and got lucky with a few of his dreams?
So do you have a clan currently or will be starting one up when Modern Warfare 2 is released? Need a place for your members to meet up and discuss clan topics and set dates and times for scrims and other competitions? I am going to offer free clan hosting for any Call of Duty clans who need it. Doesn’t matter what version of Call of Duty your clan is, we will host you.
Here is an example forum I setup. Basically your clan forum will be a sub-forum off the main COD6 forum. You will have total control of the boards you want and the names and so on. The only rule is no porn will be allowed.
I’m currently hunting for a new admin who will focus entirely on setting up the new forums for the clans so it may be a few days before we start setting up clan forums, in the meantime just post in this topic if you want a forum for your clan.

I have big plans for the cod6.org site. Thing is, I don’t have programming or graphic skills and I’d rather not spend a ton of my own money getting things done, so that’s the reason I have been looking for a partner. The partner hunting is going well and I’ll have chosen a winner by the end of the week.
In the meantime I’m looking for ideas. What kind of features would you like to see the site have? From free hosting for your clan sites to social profiles, whatever, if you have an idea or a want, then now is the time to speak your mind.
